"I've stopped bringing my children there"

The Sharel Park Evening Book Chat is a chance for concerned local residents around the Sharel Park area to gather in a non confrontational manner in the late evening & quietly discuss recent books & current events, all the while making a precence in the Park.

Part of the spin off effects of this type of meeting by local residents is the anticipated reduction in Vandalism

Broken Beer bottles & Graffiti seems to occur there over the weekends in the late hours.

People who choose to use Sharel Park as a place to "Party" will probably choose to find other places once these old fuddy duddy's have arrived.

Safety issues must be a big concern for any parent who's small children must face the possibilities of injury from broken beer bottles & the like left behind from drinking in this park. Obscene GRAFFITI  as well is unacceptable for our most precious little ones to have to play around.

Loud noise from misuse of park facilities late at night for those backing onto Sharel Park must be a big problem as well.

By promoting a positve community spirit we can effect change to the way this park is treated,

We can try to enlighten those who would vandalize it to think again before doing so.

Our Mission

To bring the Community surrounding Sharel Park together to promote a safer, cleaner, family friendly environment in & around our Park in a non confrontational manner.

Lets keep the Park Safe for Kids!
